Last week, Derek Jeter was filming a bit part in the upcoming Will Ferrell-Mark Wahlberg movie, The Other Guys, at Nathan's in Coney Island! It's good to know he has a career as a movie star to fall back on....after his Yankee job ends. :-)

I hate to turn to politics, but here it is. I have been trying to get the Seasonal Flu Vaccine and if possible the H1N1 (swine ) flu virus. I can't get either because neither is currently available and most likely will not be available for this 71 year old person.

Let's go back to the Health Care Program now in Congress. It has been having many problems gerring passed. But what can we do to dramatically lower the cost of health care. Why, it's passing a tort reform...

The Cards just rehired LaRusso to a one year Managers contract and brought McGuire aboard as hitting coach.

I.m not quite sure what to think about it. It has nothing to do with steroids. Mark was a power hitter with a relatively low BA. His OBP was decent, he did have some patience, but a Batting coach? I'm not so sure he can handle the job

Just read that Soupy Sales passed away at the age of 83. I always had a soft spot in me for Soupy and his crowd. I read he was born in the Bronx I believe. Well, the Dodgers lost game one but a nice come back today to split. The Phillies are a tough team, and today's game was a classic pitchers duel between Pedro Martinez and Vincente Padilla. Boy, how brilliant do the Phillies braintrust look by snatching up both Cliff Lee and Pedro to round out their rotation. Pedro pitched brilliantly for the Phillies today and got a no decision.
