A-Rod tied a major league record for knocking in at least one RBI in 8 consecutive games. He tied the Iron Horse (1932) and Ryan Howard who did it earlier this
week. CC is just a stud. You're right Jeff. It will be a toss up for Series MVP. BTW, it was nice to savor a victory @ Angel Stadium. Very rare event. I
will say that most Yankee fans at the end of the game weren't being obnoxious about the win. There were a few, but for the most part no shots taken at the
Angel fans.

It was good to see Melky have a good game. It might quiet his detractors for a little while at least.
The Yankees won their first WS in 1923 the year the origional YS opened. It would be fitting to win this years WS in the year the new YS opened. Andy |

Andy I never thought about that but it's true! I was happy that Melky got a few hits. That drag bunt seemed to get him going. It is really important to
have everyone contribute, not just Alex, Jete and Po. Swisher and Tex have been non-existent offensively. We need to get them going, especially as we advance
on. GO YANKS!!!

Russ and I talked last night that we'd consider benching Swisher if he doesn't start to contribute offensively. Tex's glove is too good (but he
needs to hit) to sit him down ever. But, can't say the same about Swisher. Melky and Gardner and Damon can cover the outfield. Swisher has to get some
hits. Assuming we go against Phillies it will be no walk in the park and all hands need to be on deck.

Swisher has been a good addition for our team. He certainly has power. But he has a propensity to make dumb mistakes in the field and on the bases. When he
is cold he strikes out a lot. He's cold now. I'd sit him for a while and use him as a PH

I said to Richie that I felt it that Tex was going to get the big hit, boy did he. Lackey has to be furious! Rather surprised to see Burnett still out

I'm so angry right now I could spit. Our pitching let us down big time. Only Mo did what he's paid to do. Right now I wouldn't let AJ start another
game--bring in Gaudin, anyone really. AJ is a head case and he'll blow up somewhere. As for Joba--sit him down. Let Joba be a mop up pitcher. I give a pass
to Hughes but not by much. These youngsters are letting the pressure get to them. So far there have been two "put them away" games--tonight and #3.
Yanks have lost them both. Does this team have the killer instinct? I wonder. URGH!!!!!!!

What's with Chamberlain and Hughes? We get a 6-4 lead and those two dopes give it back. The positive here is the Yankees roared back from a bad start by AJ
to actually take the lead. Swisher is another one who needs to sit. Bases loaded and he pops out to end the game. The guy is a miserable 3-for-29 (I think).
Let Gardner have some playing time. We need to win Saturday night, because all the talk will be about 2004 if the Yankees let this get to a Game 7.

I'll tell you one thing. Angel fans have no business calling Yankee fans obnoxious. These guys (not all) are the most obnoxious fans ever. I went to the
gym this morning and I've made it a vow not to discuss the playoffs win or lose. I said nothing the morning after we pounded the LAA 10-1. And you can
believe no Angel fan wanted to discuss it with me. So this morning right out of the gate a guy I know, big Angel fan, starts chipping away. I just told him to
shut up. I'm praying the most high God that we win Saturday night just so it will shut these people up for a while. They are annoying.

Unless this team starts to show the instinct to close out a series I don't expect to win game 6. Like I said, so far there have been two key games where
we could shut down the Angels and have lost both of them. Maybe we only play with the killer instinct against the Red Sox. I also agree we should sit Swisher
and let Gardner play--couldn't hurt. And, under no circs do we put Joba into the game. As you can tell, I am still very angry with all of this.

Calm down Jeff, I don't want you to have a stroke!!! Last night's game totally sucked but I have confidence that our boys will get it done. If I know
anything about this group of guys, managers and coaches included, they will not go down without one he'll of a fight. We have old reliable, Andy Pettitte

Game 6 is officially postponed until tomorrow night, gametime is listed as 8:20pm EST. Should a game 7 be necessary, it will be on Monday at 8:00pm EST. It
has been raining on and off all day, but never really too hard. MLB is making their call based on the forecast for the rest of the evening, not wanting to
have suspend it after starting it. As I type this, the thunder and lightening is starting so they made a good call.

Well, it's about 3 hours before gametime and it's a beautiful autumn day here in NY. Let's hope our guys are ready to bring it. The day already
started out great with a big win by my Steelers. As I type this the Jets are making mincemeat of the lowly Raiders. Now we just need the Giants and Yanks to
