I'm verklempt, such emotion is welling up in me right now that I can hardly express them! This is such an incredible group of players, a true team in every
sense of the word! They clawed and grinded their way through that abyssmal start and kept fighting. We got contributions from every one along the way. This is

I've got to tell you this is the favorite of our team's last 5 championships. Know why? Because they've worked through so much adversity along the
way. Jason Giambi, Alex Rodriguez, the LosCalihiem Angels, the 3-0 to ALCS loss to the Red Sox, injuries, etc., etc., etc. These guys with God's help
deserved and earned this. I'm so very proud of all them right now.

Matsui won the WS MVP but there were so very many players who gave major contributions. This truly was a team effort. I am glad Joba and Marte got in there
to do their thing and except for the mistake to Howard Pettitte pitched like the warrior that he is.
I hope George Steinbrenner is lucid (Alzheimers) to understand what his team accomplished. Next years goal should be to retune our outfield, but before then let's just enjoy the moment. These guys were simply great. Andy |

Richie and I are going to the parade tomorrow to celebrate the World Championship Yankees. I never attended the parades in 96,98,99 and00 so it should be fun.
The actual last time I attended a parade was the 94 Ranger Stanley Cup Champioship and it was fantastic. The whole city was buzzing today, it really is
something special. I plan on bringing my camera so hopefully I'll get smoe good pictures to post. Mary Ann
